Votiva Q & A

What is Votiva?

Votiva is a device that treats laxity in vaginal tissue, which can cause a variety of changes in appearance and/or function of the vagina. The device uses radiofrequency energy, which the patient experiences as a painless warmth, to decrease pain and improve muscle strength in the area. It can achieve even further results when used alongside a physical therapy program, such as Kegels.

What issues can Votiva address?

Issues addressed by Votiva treatments include:

  • Low blood flow and decreased vaginal sensitivity
  • Laxity and a wrinkled appearance of the labia
  • Weakened vaginal muscles
  • Stress incontinence
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Loose vaginal canal

Adorn Aesthetics can help evaluate your vaginal health and determine if Votiva is the right way to address your symptoms.

How does Votiva work?

Votiva features Forma V™ and Fractora V™, which target both the internal and external tissue of the vagina. FormaV uses heat technology to address internal vaginal laxity and labial enlargement. FractoraV offers a deeper heat to enhance the external tone of the vaginal tissue. You can choose to have treatments focus only on internal or external tissue, or you can benefit from both areas being addressed in one treatment session.

When will I notice results from Votiva treatments?

You may notice moderate changes immediately after a session, but optimal results are obvious in a few weeks. The treatment is noninvasive, so you don’t have to allow time for healing.

Most women benefit from two to three treatments, but Dr. Lingenfelter will put together a treatment plan that’s best for your needs and goals.

Does Votiva hurt or have any side effects?

Votiva is pain-free, though you feel slight tingling and warmth during treatment. Following a session, you can go right back to all your daily activities. You don’t have to refrain from sexual intimacy following treatment either. You can have intercourse the day of your treatment.

To learn how Votiva can boost your sexual confidence and vaginal function, call Adorn Aesthetics or book an appointment online.
